Areas of counseling and litigation include: Defense of employment, transportation, liability, and workers' compensation claims; representation of management in Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act; Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, nationwide state law discrimination claims, unemployment compensation, wage and hour, employment contracts, non-compete agreements, ERISA, and Employment Practice Liability (EPL) Claims. 

Prior to receiving his J.D., Chip Rieger was a manager for a national bank, overseeing operations and personnel at the retail level.  Mr. Rieger became a partner of the firm in 2001.

In 1997, Mr. Rieger moved from Memphis, TN to Nashville, TN and joined Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan as an Of Counsel attorney to help develop its employment law practice in Nashville.  Since then, Mr. Rieger has grown the employment law practice group in Nashville, and diversified his practice to include extensive experience in the defense of transportations, liability and workers' compensation matters.

Representative Client Work

Pre-litigation counseling in all areas of labor and employment relations.

Creation of human resource tools, including Employee Handbooks, Personnel Manuals, and Drug Testing Policies.

Representation of management before state and federal agencies and courts.

Responsible for researching legal issues related to corporate management and advising clients regarding potential exposure to liability.

Litigation and trial of employment, liability, transportation, and workers' compensation lawsuits.
