Take A Break with Family this Summer
May 11, 2016
At this point in the year, the children are already counting down the days until summer vacation. In some ways, you probably are too. So when the school bell rings one last time for the school year, what plans with the kids do you have ready for the summer season?
Take a Vacation!
How many of you look back at your childhood and think about the fun memories from vacations taken back in the day? This is one of the reasons why family vacations are so important. It doesn’t necessarily matter where you go (of course, who doesn’t love the beach and Disney World?!), but the fact that you are able to spend quality time together that matters the most.
During the majority of the year, you and your children are so busy with work, school, extra-curricular activities, etc., that you are unable to really spend quality, uninterrupted time with your children. With having to share custody on top of all of that, the time spent is even less.
A vacation this summer can help you get to know your children again: their likes and dislikes; what they are involved in or want to be involved in next year at school; who their best friends are in school; etc.
Summer vacations also give you a chance to take a break from housework and such, so you don’t have to worry about vacuuming or making a bed, but instead can focus on making memories!
