Directed Verdict in Mississippi Case

LWDN attorneys Jay Atkins and Paul Blake obtained a directed verdict from Judge Lackey in Marshall County, Mississippi on May 12, 2010.  The case involved allegations of intention tort, negligence and sought compensatory and punitive damages as a result of a verbal and physical altercation between an employee and two customers at a fast food restaurant in Holly Springs, Mississippi.  After two days of trial before jury and eight (8) witnesses presented by the plaintiff, the defense moved for a directed verdict, which was granted.
