Attorneys Bassett, Chadwell and Floyd Named Equity Members of the Firm

The firm is pleased to announce that attorneys Laura E. Bassett, Allyson H. Chadwell, and Lesley M. Floyd have been named Equity Members of the firm.
Laura Bassett is located in our Nashville office, whose areas of practice include appellate, civil rights/ government, general liability, insurance coverage and defense, labor and employment and premises liability. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a major in Economics with a dual concentration in International Business through the Global Leadership Scholars Program. Following her time in Knoxville, she graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in 2017. After law school, Laura lived in Edinburgh, Scotland, for a year while she pursued her master’s degree. She is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee Bar Associations, the Lawyers’ Association for Women, the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, and DRI where she was on the planning committee for their Labor & Employment section for 2025. Ms. Bassett is licensed to practice in Tennessee, all US District Courts in Tennessee, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Allyson Chadwell is located in the firm's Nashville office. Her areas of practice include general liability, insurance defense litigation, premises liability, and construction law. Ally earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Mississippi State University. She then graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2016. While in law school, she served as the Appellate Advocacy Chair of the Moot Court Board, a member of the Dominick L. Gabrielli Family Law Moot Court Competition Team, and a student member of the Grisham Law Library Advisory Board. Ally is admitted to practice in all state courts in Tennessee and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee. She is a member of the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations.
Lesley Floyd is located in the firm’s Memphis office and has extensive practice experience in health care liability, insurance contracts, premises liability, and negligent security matters. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies. After working as a paralegal, she attended the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2012. She is admitted in Tennessee and the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association.
